The 5-Minute Outline Method
- Write your thesis in one sentence. If you cannot, your argument is not clear enough yet.
- List 3 supporting points. Each becomes a body paragraph.
- For each point, note one piece of evidence. A statistic, quote, or example.
- Write a one-sentence conclusion. Restate thesis differently.
- Add transitions. "Furthermore," "However," "In contrast," between sections.
